The birth of leaders is easy. It may be because of luck, accident, etc., but retaining the leadership for a longer time needs real skills and a lot of sacrifices from personal and professional way. 

1. Make sure your personal is all yours.

2. Make sure you look optimistic in trusting people and their outcome and pessimistic while planning and forecasting

3. Make sure you deal people with patience.

4. Never judge people based on appearance and never credit people how they behave in front of you.

5. Make sure you stay fit physically (Of course Mentally too). 

6. Make sure you smile at everyone and talk freely with your sub ordinates

7. Make sure you make people to follow you.

8. Make sure you drive,organize and push/pull people to the specific targets you planned to achieve.

9. Make sure you keep your mind,body and energy focused and clear at both success and failure

10. Anger avoid it. Jealousy delete it.

Additional Tip : 

Make sure you stand at first when there is a crisis and you enjoy seeing your team celebration when they succeed. In simple give the cup to team on victory take the blame on defeat.
